If you’ve ever wanted to re-enact the horrible, frightening experience of a prisoner in a Soviet prison, you can at the Karosta Prison in Latvia. Guards will shove you around, yell in your face, and make you scrub toilets.
This hotel brings to life only parts of the troubled Latvian-Soviet history, and it’s a good thing. [...]

Well, here we are, a couple of days after Chancellor Gordon Brown has doubled taxes on air passengers. Presumably he doesn’t mind as the taxpayers pay for all his flights anyway. What will he think of next?
